I’m so excited that you have stopped by for my little Christmas Home Tour. If you are following along our Joyful Home tour with the rest of my amazing blogger friends, then you have just come from Rachel’s home at The Porch Light Cottage. I love how Rachel has sprinkled just the perfect amount Christmas throughout her home. I hope that you will stick around to check out all of the other gorgeous homes in this tour at the end of this post.
Christmas here in the desert of Tucson Arizona is everything but freezing cold…just the way I love it. We have managed to receive some snow a couple of times in the last 9 years that I have lived here, but it is rare and usually happens one morning and then melts by the afternoon. The snow covered desert sure is an amazing place to be when it happens.

I decided to change up the location of my stockings this year and I am loving it. This area serves as many purposes, including my entry way, part of my dining area, and part of our living area. I love adding layers and textures to add warmth and coziness in every area in our home. Chester loves to lie here and wait for our kids to get home. When we open up the front door the light streams through and allows him to check out all of the birds and our neighbors on their strolls.
I am in love with our new stairccase that my husband built recently from the amazing hickory wood from Baird Brothers. I can’t wait to show you our “how to” and the full before and after reveal.
This is our living area that is shared with our entryway. My hubs and I made this wall clock from a table top and it is one of my favorite projects to date.
At the top of our stairs is my kids area. I wanted it to be somewhat of a winter wonderland this year, resembling elf land in the movie “Elf”. I love the way it turned out and all of the diy budget friendly snowflakes.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope that you enjoyed my Christmas tour in the desert and that you will come back again next week for more tour fun with new space reveals and Christmas decor ideas. Don’t miss out on all of the other amazing homes in our Joyful Holiday Home Tour. Next stop is Laura from Meaningful Spaces. I love her home and I know you will too. Have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season my friends.

Its a winter wonderland for sure! Love your taste and can see why your children love their home. Chester is such a sweetie and I love seeing him in all your pictures. I am afraid my two Yorkiepoos would have those pillows rearranged in two minutes. LOL Thanks for sharing your home all decked out for Christmas.

Hi! I’ve been following your instagram stories for a while and love your diy projects. I noticed your thick wool blanket and wonder if you made that or bought it? They’re a little pricey so I wonder if they are worth it? Your opinion? Where did you get yours?
