Introducing the amazing cabinet that traveled all the way from Michigan to Arizona! Surprisingly only one glass panel door broke in the move. This is the before photo before it was shipped. I knew it was a super old cabinet, and it needed a lot of work. The window sliding panels are what made me fall in love with it! It’s gorgeous!

The initial reddish/oragnish stain, or whatever they used on it, was a pain in my entire body to get off, but worth all the work in the end.

I used the Green EZ and it worked a little, but not great. So, I switched to sanding. That stain was hanging on for dear life! I finally was able to sand every last bit of stubborn stain off and I absolutely love how it turned out!

It’s going to be such a fun piece to decorate with or eventually put some of our dishes in!

It was Sooooooooooooo much work, but I love the end result, and the old icky stain is finally gone! It actually smells a little like a Christmas tree inside.

You might be able to barely see the cracked glass that we still have to get fixed, below. We actually fixed it once, sat it in our garage, and nothing touched it but it broke again. I’m not sure if it was because of the heat?

When I took off the door handles, I put them in a place where they wouldn’t get lost….and, for some reason I can’t find them. But, I’m sure they will show up eventually.

Trav let me have a chandelier in here and it fits perfectly! It’s the chandelier I found at a roadside sale for $25! Woooo hoooo! One of the best parts is definitely that Chester is feeling better. He loves to model for treats.

I’m sure that I will switch things out a billion times but it’s nice to have a place to put things that have been sitting all over the floor for months, literally collecting dust. And, I can’t wait to dig into some of these books, once we are settled!

I decided not to seal the cabinet since it was going to not be a high traffic piece. If it seems it needs a sealer later on, I will use General Finishes Clear because it dries the same color. What do you think of this giant piece all stripped down?

It is stunning!! What room is it in?
It’s beautiful! And so glad you decided not to put the backpanels back on. The white wall behind it makes the items in it stand out. Worth all the work!
Wowzer! It’s so beautiful! ???? Congrats on all of your hard work!

OMG!!! I turned out so pretty. I can just imagine how long it took you to do. It looks really nice along that wall. Everything in looking so lovely.
It’s an incredible piece! And totally worth all of your hard work to bring out it’s natural beauty; and the best part is few people will ever have one like it. While my style is different from yours (though I love antiques too!), I love that nothing about your home is cookie cutter, or replicated in a million other houses. Kudos to you for staying true to your style and working hard to make the most of it! Well done!????????????????????????
This piece is stunning!! Wish I had one for all my things without a home.
Love everything you do!!

Did you ever find out what was wrong with Chester??
This is absolutely stunning! You have such an insane talent with decor!
She turned out glorious! You will enjoy her for many years to come. I can’t imagine the cost of shipping on something that big though.
Wow. It is gorgeous. I would have put the back panels on. But it looks good without them too. I love the baskets on top. And I love Chester.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow, so gorgeous!! Love how you have it styled in your new home. Can’t wait to see what else you do.????
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how the cabinet turned out. Love the wood! You have so much cool stuff. I love decor items, but I need to always rethink what I do…seems less is more! Maybe rethink how much you have in your cabinet. IMO It takes away from seeing the cabinet bc you are so busy looking at the items! I have a tendency to overfill and usually clear out things so you can appreciate the ones left. Just my opinion, but it’s your house, and you certainly are creative, artistic, and I know you will do what you like. Not really a bad comment, just a think about it comment! ❤️❤️❤️
Soooooo beautiful!! All your hard work was totally worth the effort! This is a statement piece for your home that will hold so many treasures ❤️ Great work….as always!
Wow it’s absolutely beautiful what a great addition to your beautiful home every piece in your home has a story I can’t wait to see your house when your done you really have an eye for beauty……
It’s so pretty.Renovating furniture is a great workout, isn’t it! Wow!! ????
This transformation is stunning! I LOVE it!
LOVE‼️❣️
Outstanding I just purchased a large German armoire with similar grain I was lucky that a
good sanding left me with beautiful color I cut a whitish stain with mineral spirits to give it a little more white look to get rid of the bit of orange tint that it had but wow your piece! What insight to know that would look perfect in that space. Enjoy it you’ve decorated it lovely too!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!
Stunning … Just. stunning. Your vision and talent amaze me! But the best news: Chester is there posing!
It’s absolutely stunning!!! I even had my hubby get on your website & take a look. Could you tell me the exact General Finishes clear that you use. I stripped some antique chairs & I don’t want to change the color of the raw wood. You mentioned that General Finishes doesn’t change the color of the wood.
When do you sleep? You must move constantly during the day. The piece is absolutely gorgeous as is the rest of your house.
Oh Natalie! It’s just beautiful!
Oh my!!! This is amazing, I knew it would be but seeing it stripped, gosh it’s so pretty. You styled it beautifully too.
SIMPLY STUNNING!!! YOU ARE SO INCREDIBLY TALENTED!!!
Absolutely beautiful!!!! Where did you find that cabinet? I would love to find something like that. Great job cleaning it up. I love the natural wood.
Ooh I love it. My phone slightly broke so I’ve been locked out of my insta for a month and have missed your squares. This is gorgeous and was so worth the work. Well done.
Beyond words!!!!! Such a beautiful piece after you worked your magic on it. You’ll have many years of joy with this beautiful cupboard.
Beyond beautiful ~ so stunning ~ Such talent and eye for decor.
Omy, screeched to a halt…WHOA!!! was that a ship worthy amount of wood to “reclaim” and sand!
You are truly a dedicated artiste:)
Please share exactly which General Finishes CLEAR you would use
here, because I know some woods still release their tannins and seep yellow and was hoping you have an insight you would give to prevent my purchasing the wrong formula, on my next “naked wood” project. Stupendous job!!! (standing ovation)
I can’t imagine the work it took to get this beauty to shine like she does now! It is so perfect for that space and as always, I love how you have decorated it!
Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.
Do you know if e z off works on furniture that has Brewax instead of paint or varnish? Thanks Melonee
