Chester and I worked super hard to get this room cleaned out for our guests to come this Christmas. As this is our spare room, it also has the pleasure of being the “catch all” for everything that we don’t have a place for. I don’t know if you have ever done this before but when we clean out a room, we first need to clean the closet where everything is going to get shoved and then throw a million things away in the closet. I hope you will stick around for the source list at the end of this post.
Well, I feel like our house is a lot less cluttered (minus the garage) and Chester and I are now ready to give you a little tour of this space. I shared this Christmas art a while back that I switch out for different seasons. I love these old vintage looking prints! Chester is more into the tree. He wanted to add lights sooooo….
we did. We added lights, just for Chester. Actually it was for my sweet nieces and nephew coming but Chester feels better if we talk about it like it was just for him.
I made this JOY sign. It was a fun, easy, and budget friendly DIY. The rusty jingle bells in the middle have to be my favorite part.
I recently brought out our old record player there on the dresser and we played lots of Christmas music on it while cleaning up. It made the process so much more fun.
I added these 2 stockings for a cozy, Christmas touch. One is hanging from a tack nail and the other is hanging under the books. The books, I found at a thrift store and just tore off the covers for a neutral look.
When Chester starts to sleep, you know he is done modeling and ready for a treat. I actually say, “can you lay all the way down?” and this is what he does. He even closes his eyes for the perfect shot. What a sweet pup.
Thank you for stopping by! Chester is ready for a long winter’s nap after all of that cleaning, or maybe from following me around while I was cleaning. I love having a fluffy shadow. I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas 2017. I am so thankful for all of you and that you have chosen to follow along my home decor/diy journey.
