This rug looks a lot like the one that I ran into today in my Instagram stories. Hmmmm, you know that one that I wasn’t going to buy? Yep, problems…I’ve got them, in more ways that just buying rugs. Well, I’m not sure if I’m keeping it. I’m in love with the rug but I’m trying to decide if I’m in love with it more that the other one that I had in this room. Hmmmm, hmmmm, hmmmm…that’s where you come in. What do you think? Do you like the other one I had in here, better? You can see that one at the end of this post. I think I’m leaning more toward my “old” rug, the one in the last photo, for this space.
This new rug sure is a beauty though. I will have to think about it overnight as to if I have ANYWHERE else that I could possibly put it. Well, I guess it’s time to buy a new house…or another rug.
You can find this rug HERE
And I think I might be even MORE fond of this rug’s brother, HERE, but I don’t see a larger size in that one.

THIS RUG is the previous rug that I had in this space. Well, it’s really still in here, just rolled up behind me waiting for me to trip on it. I love it so much that I don’t think that I can part with it but I would love to hear your thoughts, in the comments below.
One thing that I don’t love as much about this rug is that it is not as bold as the other one. The boldness has it’s perks but I also love a great muted rug like this one too. You can see HERE that this one does look darker online and it actually has a little sheen in real life, which I don’t mind, that causes it to look way lighter than it really is depending on where one is standing in the room. AND, this one fits way better in size on top of that jute rug that I have right there. Did I mention that I love rugs?
Well, off to ponder. I ALWAYS love to hear your thoughts! Thank you friends!

I love the new one! It really brings out the wood tones in the room and warms it up. Love the blue pillows

Thank you Anita! ❤️
Sadie says
oooo this is a tough one!! I really like both for different reasons. The old one is really pretty and neutral, might be easier to have all year round and mix up accents. The new one is really nice for bringing out the warm wood tones and is a more colorful choice. If only you could have both, haha! It really depends on what you would like to look at more, whatever you choose, either one is VERY beautiful!
My Vintage Porch says
Thank you Sadie! Yes all great advice ????????????????
Tami Loecker says

I like the old rug better because of its faded vintage look:)
My Vintage Porch says
It does have that look. So pretty for sure
TJ says
I love the older rug for this space better, it all goes so well, the new rug is lovely but it seems maybe a bit to bold
My Vintage Porch says
Thank you TJ!! ❤️
Connie says
The “old” vintage one, I like it best. Fits better on the jute rug. Looks great in the room.
My Vintage Porch says
Yes I thought the fitting on the jute rug was better too, great eye ❤️????????
Sandi says

The bolder new rug for sure !!! Love the slightly brighter colors with lighter tones in your room. Beautiful rug.

Thank you Anita! ????
Karlene says
They both are great rugs, but with your room and decor I like the original one more. I notice the other lovely items in your room more with the muted rug, the newer rug seems to jump out at me and draws all the attention! If you feel the need for more color, I’d just find some smaller accents pieces in colors from the rug. I love this room, it’s a great mix of items and texture and suggests CALM!

This is my first time to comment and I think I was a little eager and commented on someone else’s rug comment before I saw this box. So just in case, I will repeat and then go away ????.
Target will price match their own online prices when you check out in the store. Just show them the on line price!
My Vintage Porch says
Yes that’s so awesome that they do that! Thank you Susan! ❤️
Amy says
I like the one rolled up in the corner. This one is beautiful but to bright for the room and all that white. To me Since you did ask.
My Vintage Porch says
Thank you Amy! Yes I agree
Raylene says
Hello from Canada
I love both rugs.
But I truly gasped when I saw your new rug. It took my breath away. It’s a triple WOW. Which in the best rating I give. Highest.
Here is my thought. If you can afford it. (I’m very sick so I understand expensive medical expenses.)
You should keep it. Because if you don’t you might always be wondering about that beautiful rug that GOT AWAY.
Raylene
My Vintage Porch says
Thank you Raylene! Great advice and I hope you have a feeling great kind of day ❤️????
Robin says
The new rug is pretty, but the other rug has a soft focus effect which compliments your room, if that makes sense!
My Vintage Porch says
Thank you Robin! Agreed ❤️
Kathy says
Definitely the old rug. I love the muted tones, softer colors and the thickness of the edge. I’m not crazy about the new rug at all. (sorry)
My Vintage Porch says
Thank you Kathy!! ❤️????????

The new rug just screams your name and it’s nice but I love your old rug better. I, too, love the muted colors and if it needs a new home, I could help with that. ????
My Vintage Porch says
I agree with you Regina ????????❤️????
Coleen says
For this space I love the versatility of the old rug and how beautiful it is framed by the jute beneath it! (And I love the new rug so much that I am going to look for it for my front room! )
Love your style, girl!
Susan Lazenby says
Ahhh, Natalie, I would keep the reddish one for Vakentine’s Day and change over to a more springlike rug (da’bluish one) a little later. You are blessed to have choices.
I think I saw that you are a bit Irish? So where in Heaven is the greenish rug for the St.Patrick’s Day? My Grandpa Leprachan aka Frank (Francis) Charles O’Connor would be giving me the “Say so?” If there wasn’t a spot of green in my house besides plants. Hugs! They’re both lovely and adore the touches of color.
Beth says
My vote is keep the one you have. If uou don’t want it… I know a good home for it????
