A few things come before my passion of home decor and diy projects, and one of those is my fam! Today we are celebrating Kaden, aka Kadsie, the “Russian kid” that everyone thinks is an exchange student living in our house. Every now and then, Kaden pops into my Instagram stories sporting his Russian accent…the accent he says he learned from memes.
For those of you that don’t yet know…he is not Russian, nor has any Russian background. He just loves trying out other accents and it fits right in with his fun loving spirit! He’s such a fun and crazy character! I always tell him that he could be an actor. When he jumped into this photo below, he said…”tell everyone that this is my “I’m coming to steal your girl” pose. Oh yes, I can’t leave that out…he can’t wait to get married some day.
From the time Kaden woke me up a million times at night in the womb, I knew he was going to have a heart that beats wild for life!
1.A few things you may not know about Kaden…He loves playing baseball and football… his fave teams are Reds and Notre Dame. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard when it comes to sports. Although I’m sure he could be an actor if he wanted to, he would love to play professional baseball or football someday.
2. He makes a new friend, everywhere he goes. When I used to take him to the park when he was younger, he would have a new best friend every time.
3. He can quote pretty much every movie that he has seen and he remembers things from 10 years ago that I don’t even remember happening. He has super brain power!
4. He eats cereal, trail mix, and almonds like he hasn’t seen food for days. Check out how much he grew from end of his 5th grade year (left photo below) to the beginning of his 6th grade year (right photo below). Can you even believe it? This was all in one summer of growth AND before he ate like a horse!
5. And, most importantly, he loves Jesus! He stands up for his faith, even when it’s not the popular thing to do. He’s always striving to spread his Jesus love onto others and says that is why he wants to play pro ball some day, so he can have a bigger audience to spread Christ’s love. I love his strong passion and love for Christ!

Happy 15th Birthday Kaden! Our family has a 3 yr old Goldendoodle & we laugh at how similar Chesters actions are to our Marley! You are known in our house as Chester’s Mom & the guy with the accent! He really is a great kid! I just love his happy go lucky attitude and how much he loves his mama and Jesus! He cracks me up…I love the Russian accent! You are truly blessed to have a son like him!
I have four boys and even though I raised them to love Jesus…only one is in church and it hurts my heart so much! They are wonderful guys though and I am proud of them for an excellent work ethic and they provide well for their families.
