I thought it would be nice to have something to hold my necklaces since they are all basically jumbled up on a bowl and shoved in my closet right now. I think this has to be the quickest DIY that I’ve ever done.
I love old spoons and I had some extras just waiting for me to do this project. I lined them up on the piece of wood that I thought I would use. I ended up changing to a different piece of wood, but lining them up helped me to know how long I needed to cut my piece of wood.

I used this large “mallet hammer” to flatten all of the spoons. I’m sure that you could use a regular hammer as well, this one just worked a little better for me than a regular hammer.

I drilled a hole in the middle of each spoon, or at least my estimated “middle”. I’m not a girl of wondrous measuring skills, meaning, I’m impatient when it comes to measuring. I held the spoon down with my foot to hold the spoon in place for drilling.

I then used small screws to attach each spoon to the pallet board that I had chose to use.

And, that’s it! It worked perfectly! Now, I have a place to store all of my jewelry!

I’m pleasantly surprised as to how much jewelry that it holds! I will be able to get many more necklaces and other pieces of jewelry on this little spoon hook rack.

I didn’t even measure the space in between the spoons. My eyes helped me with my measuring on this little project.

I was thinking that it may be tough to get the holes drilled in to each spoon, but it was super easy! Just make sure that you have a drill bit that is able to drill through metal.

This was such a fun little project and there are so many things that it can be used for! I love how it looks with mugs too!

I think this entire project took me about an hour. I hope this inspires you to create something fun for yourself!

Ok..this is way too cool..I made myself a jewellry hanger with one of those expandable wooden brackets…I love it.I put it behind my bedroom door so I save space as well.
????
That is a great idea too! I love that!
I love it. So sorry I sold an enormous bag of silver plate silver at a garage. I shall go find more and do this. Thank you Natalie. So clever❤️

Thank you, Nancy! There are so many tarnished beautiful spoons out there. I love them!
This is so fun and creative! What a great idea!!
Gorgeous! How did you bend the handles without breaking them?
Hi Mary, I just used my hands to bend them and didn’t have a problem with them breaking. Thank you!
How on earth do you come up with these cool diys? So impressed!
Thank you, Shanta! This was a fun one!
That’s a great idea. I need to go back and read more closely. I don’t know what kind of drill bit it takes to drill through metal spoons. Hmmmm ???? now I’m thinking of other things to hang on spoons (like a wreath, measuring cups, a hand towel, lost socks, hair ties.)
What did you use to bend the handles up? I love this idea!!
This is absolutely awesome Natalie but nothing beats your dresser! Which is my favorite to date!
So cute! You don’t even need to flatten the spoons though, right?
I love it!! Soooo cool… I love what you do!
Love this idea! I was wondering if you thought the spoons would be strong enough to use them as a coat rack. I thought they might be stronger if I bent the handles twice? Just wondering your thoughts. Thx!!!
