I’ve had so much fun partnering with Joss and Main for their Holiday Switchover campaign this Christmas season! It’s been my goal to deck out the house and try to measure up to Elf style…I love the movie and my kids do too, and that’s where my inspiration came from for this space. I’m so excited for you to join in on the fun for this campaign! You have the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree from Joss & Main just by posting a photo of your decorated space! It so simple:
- Step 1: Decorate your Christmas space
- Step 2: Snap a photo
- Step 3: Post your pic on IG with the hashtag #JossSwitchover & tag @jossandmain (make sure to tag them in the photo and the writeup so they don’t miss it)
And then Joss & Main will choose a winner and announce it on their IG feed on December 20! This is such an exciting opportunity to share with all of you!
Here is a little of what I did with my Joss & Main finds to decorate my space for Christmas. I found this gorgeous large rug to layer on the bottom of my “Natalie” rug, and I love the cozy textured vibe that it gives this space.
Lots of trees is my jive! I love Chirstmas trees! The more the merrier! I used these adorable white paper trees on my coffee table and the wood look resin trees behind my sofa. Mixing up the textures on the trees draws more interest in certain settings, in my opinion, than having every tree be exactly the same.
I made these snowflakes and taped them to the ceiling with scotch tape. They are so easy to make and super budget friendly! Adding these larger size globe lights gives the lighting the vintage feel that I was going for. I also love this garland from Joss & Main and how it is a lighter in texture so that I could use it around this gorgeous sign from Harper Grayce.
This snowy tree from Joss and Main was one of the many of my favorite finds! It fits perfect in my little flocked forest! And, this snowflake pillow is my favorite winter/Christmas pillow. I’m calling it my favorite, until I have one that can exceed the amazingness of this one!
I used lots of books to add height to the area behind my sofa. This allows me to decorate without having to make a hole in the faux brick wall to decorate. I found a bunch of budget friendly used books at a thrift store and tore the covers off of some of them for a more neutral look.
I found these reindeer at a thrift store! They are so cute! I wish I had a source for you, as I get so many questions about them. They definitely add to the forest feel!
I’m pretty sure that Chester loves this space too! That, or he just likes laying on my new cozy throw. Either way, he’s got the right idea!
I wrapped towels and blankets around the tree in the old vintage crock to get it to stand upright, since the stand was a little to large for the crock. It worked perfect!
Layering rugs, blankets, pillows in different textures is one of my favorite things to make a room feel more cozy. I’m so happy with the way the room turned out!
I’m so glad that you all stopped by and I can’t wait to see all of your Instagram photos that you post for Joss & Main! I would love for you to tag me in your photos @vintageporch so that I can see them too! I love all of your gorgeous creativity!
I would love for you to comment below and let me know what you think of our little winter wonderland! My kids sure are starry eyed…and Chester too. He might just be drunk on treats though.

Just beautiful, Natalie! You know, I listened to your stories and you mentioned your kids don’t know how to play Red Rover…well, I was thinking – maybe that’s a midwest thing? lol…the things we learn in good ol’ Indiana! Have a Merry Christmas!
Could be! I also had messages from some that said kids were getting hurt so they banned it from being played. I loved that game so much!
Your house looks beautiful!! Can you tell me where the smaller rug is from? The rug in your switchover post.
Thank you Karen! Yes, if you just click on the highlighted part of the rug name, it will take you there.
