Thank you for joining me for a little tour of some recent changes that I have made in my family room. I have also included a source list of this space at the end of the post. I wanted a rug that was going to bring some color AND tie in the browns that I had in this space, that is why I ordered this particular rug. As you have seen on my IG stories, I am a rug nut and I love to change things up. Having a new rug in this space is so refreshing to me and brings about the warm winter tones that I was searching for. I added some photos with and without my coffee table to show all of the amazing colors in my new rug. I hope you enjoy Chester and I’s tour. I would love for you to leave me a comment at the end of this post and let me know what you think of this rug. I did do a voting poll on IG and the lighter rug won on the poll, but I went with the underdog and I. LOVE. IT!!
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Stay tuned for Thursday when I will be posting our staircase renovation DIY project. I love the way that it turned out.

Yes…I love this rug and it really looks nice here. It brings out the golden browns from your clock and picture frames which tie the whole room together. Beautiful:)

Thank you, Cindy! I agree! I love how it pulls the browns together.

Love this rug choice. I share your love of rugs. I continue to shy away from any rug with a pronounced pattern, So, truth is…., I’m a neutral nubby textured rug nut.

So many amazing rugs out there! Yay for rugs!

Hi Natalie, Look at that HUGE corbel! I love it, the rug and all of it. I have a pillow ‘thing’ and if you look through all the closets and trunks in the house, you’ll find them. Do you clear out pillows, sometimes and keep others for different seasons? I just picked up some fake fur brown ones that look nice with all the off white and lambskin covered pillows.
My Vintage Porch says
I love switching out pillows and just having so many pillows for a cozy space everywhere. Fur brown sounds amazing!

This room absolutely gorgeous! I would love to see you entire house! The whites are just dreamy!!!

Thank you so much Crystal. I have lots of home tours listed on the blog if you are interested of various areas.

I love your rug! I cannot believe how inexpensive it is. No wonder your ordered several. Just curious, do you think it would feel thick enough without your other rug underneath it?
My Vintage Porch says
The ones from well woven are super soft. I do love the extra cushion of layering a rug but they are sufficient without it too.
Lelanie says
Yep, perfect choice!
Amy says
Everything about this room is perfect, including Chester!! Love the colors in the rug!
Valerie says
Love that rug and the layering you did with it? I have w2w carpeting in my family room.
Do you think it would be appropriate to layer a large throw rug like you did over an entire carpeted floor?
Amu says
How soft and thick is it? It’s beautiful and I would love to get one for my living room!:)
