Living in a cookie cutter house does not do much for character. For the longest time, I’ve wanted wood walls, wood ceilings, wood floors…ok you get the point. I grew up in an old farmhouse and I miss the character that old houses have. If we ever get around to it before the good Lord takes us home, we may try out a house with more character some day. I actally look every now and then and just the other day I found the perfect house in the location that we want with wood ceilings and guess what?!…it was already contingent!! So question is, should we take the leap and sell our house and maybe have to live in a rental for a while until we find the house we love (because in Tucson houses with character, in the right location, come at a steep price and are few and far between) OR do we stay here and just add character where we can? I do have to say I LOVE my home and am so thankful for the blessing of it! Well, I guess while we are still here, shiplap or some type of wood walls will be added in this room somewhere…can you guess where? Here is the now and can’t wait to show you the after! I’m still loving the refreshing feel that white walls bring to our space! I’m almost finished painting…only above the cabinets to go!
I wanted more of a simple design, so I took all of the things off of my wall minus the mirror and would love to add a sign from “between you and me signs”.
This was Chester’s last day with long fur…he went to the groomer this morning and he is now a fresh, clean, and clipped pup.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my little mini tour. I hope that we can meet up on Instagram and Facebook as well! Have a great day!
