Bathroom Renovation Progress Part 2

Filed Under: Home Tour, Master Bath #1 Tagged With: antique chandelier, antique door, antique lighting, antique sink, arabesque, bathroom renovation, brick wall, chandelier, Eastlake vanity, marble sink, old wood door, saltillo tile

Yay! We have a sink! And, lighting! We will ignore that the lights on each side of the vanity need rewired because they aren’t working, and that the sink isn’t hooked up yet, but hey, we have a sink! And, lighting!

Here are a couple shots of the “before” bathroom. A couple of the things that I didn’t care for in the old set up was that there was wasted space in the back right corner with heat lamps above head. Hmmmm. And, of course the fan, haha.

And, this window…I just kept wondering why there was a window above the vanity, where the mirror was supposed to be. All that I could envision was a big tub under that window.

Ok, so who knew that you could move a toilet? Not me…but you can, and we did!! It was “easy” too…well, at least that’s what the circus said. (if you missed it, our renovations were a bit of a circus) I haven’t seen anything oozing from the walls yet, so fingers crossed, it stays in the pipes!

I still need to seal the sink but isn’t it amazing?!?! I looooove it and it fits in perfectly there! This old solid marble sink came from Pittet Architecturals. They even gave me a discount code (PittetArch22) that you can use on their site, yay! Pittet Architecturals is filled with antique goodness, not just sinks, but so many other amazing things for the home!!!

I love that it’s the perfect size for us to have space to sit things on the sides of the vanity top as well! It’s like it was made for this moment!

I found this antique chandelier on the Facebook marketplace when we were out of town one weekend for my daughter’s tournaments. I can’t wait to see it hanging with a big fat copper tub under it! The tub has actually been sitting in our bedroom since we had to have the plumbing on the wall fixed. Hopefully we will have it installed next week!

There’s that big door again that our neighbor said holy poop to. This time I LET HIM IN to look around,. And, I think the holy poop meant he liked the door. He’s moving this week and I’m kind of sad…even though he holy poops, he is really nice when he waits to be let in. Ok, that is all, I’ll update when the tub gets installed, oh and there is glass coming at some point for the shower too. In Trav’s words, “WE ARE ALMOST THERE”!!!

I love watching y’all fix your house up. And I really like the marble sink you found. But, do you have 3 sinks in your bathroom?

No she took the long black counter out, it was under the window originally. There’s just one sink she found at an architectural reclaim shop. I believe she mentions it in the body of her post.
