I’m so excited to be a part of this great summer home tour with so many great friends! If you are coming from Lisa’s home Farmhouse on Boone, isn’t her home beautiful? I know you will enjoy every one of these ladies amazing spaces, linked at the end of this post. I will also add a complete source list at the end of this post along with some affiliate links to help you out with decorating your own outdoor space. Living in Tucson, we have many blazing hot summer days. It’s not really the time to think about starting a fire but I do have to say that we use this fireplace alot on those breezy Spring and Summer evenings. From roasting marshmallows to warming our toes after getting out of the pool, it’s a great addition to our family outdoor living space.
I wanted to show you how you can spice up a patio or any outdoor space with things you may have on hand or from thrifted items. All of my decor here is thrifted minus the pillows and the rug. I found these rusty tire rims at a thrift store and decided to use them for planters. My hubs probably did a few rolls of the eyes when I was buying them but I told him I had great plans for them. And for the price of 4 rusty rims for $20, who could pass that up?! Needless to say, he loves them now. We ran irrigation lines up the center of these fireplace pedestals and they work perfect for keeping our plants watered all summer long.
If you remember from my IG stories when I found these rusty old buckets and these round metal lids from a junk yard, well, this is where they ended up. I love all of the chippy, rusty character they give to our outdoor space. I knew when I saw them that they would make perfect tables. Seeing as how we don’t see rain around here much, this space will work, until I decide to change it up tomorrow, lol. But really, $5 per piece, they make the most amazing $10 outdoor side tables.
This bench I also found at a thrift store for $20. It must have been because it was so chippy? Well, score for me because this girl never passes up budget friendly chippy decor.
Having a pool in Tucson, AZ is definitely a blessing. It makes the summers so much more tolerable. And I will never tire of this view, even with the fence. It never gets old to me. I love it as much as the first day we moved to Tucson. The majesty of these mountains just reminds me daily of our God’s great power and beauty.
My hubs always thinks we should trim those plants behind the fireplace, but I guess there is something about the lush jungle that I really love, lol. So, thank you to the neighbors for your beautiful jungle too right along with those amazing palm trees.
Chester lasted about 2 minutes for his model job today. The heat gets to him with his big furry stuffed animal coat. Oh, what he will do for a couple of carrots. He’s just the sweetest pup!
Thank you for stopping by and joining me for a little backyard tour. I hope that this has helped you think outside the box a little for some budget friendly decor. Have a wonderful day!
